A Day at the Waterfront Plant Based Toronto

A Day At The Toronto Waterfront

When people think of Toronto they often overlook our gorgeous Waterfront but with another epic Toronto summer upon us, we had to plan the perfect day for you.

6 am – 7 am: A Walk, Run or Yoga in Trillium Park

Put on some runners, grab your mat, and watch the sunrise at Trillium park while getting in a killer workout.

If you can’t make it for a sunrise that’s ok, this is your day, but it’s totally worth it.

10:00 AM: Breakfast at Hopscotch

Hop on over to Hopscotch on the corner of Fort York and Bremner and enjoy an abundance of vegan-friendly menu items!

Our picks include the Nutty Date smoothie made with dates, almonds, banana, maple syrup, and almond milk and the Millennial-favourite Avocado Smash with pico de gallo and EVOO.

11:00 AM: Ferry to Centre Island | Jack Layton Ferry Terminal

Summer weather is finally here! That means the Toronto Islands are accessible by ferry!

Catch some rays on the beach, stroll through the park or bring your bike and cycle around the island.

This girl certainly seems to be enjoying herself.

We recommend you pack a lunch and bring bevy’s with you, LCBO and Loblaws about 2 – 5 minutes east of ferry terminal.

But you can always grab some Pizza Pizza or Beaver Tails should you find yourself in need!

Yup, that’s right- some Beavertail flavours are vegan! The pastry itself is vegan, so try it with toppings such as Apple Cinnamon, Peanut Butter, Vanilla Spread and Oreo pieces.

Just make sure they don’t use butter!

If you’re in Toronto during either of these EPIC weekends you must check out them out.

Otherwise, you should really check out Cru.

5:00 PM: Dinner at Cru

Ok, technically this is no longer harbourfront but it’s only a hop (walk), skip (uber), or a jump (TTC) from your arrival back at the Harbourfount from the island and IT IS WORTH IT.

Not an entirely vegan menu they’re vegan options are amazing.

If you are not attending the Vegfests above, this is a great place to end off the evening with a nice meal.

Pro Tip: If it’s June 21st then you can even go on a Vegan Boat Cruise!

If not…maybe it’s time for a nap after a long day 🙂

Hope to see you on the Waterfront!
