29 Aug Toronto’s Best Vegan Burgers 2018
Toronto is home to some tasty vegan burgers and if you’re visiting Toronto this year for our world famous Vegfests, or maybe just trying to kill some time at work looking at burgers (we don’t judge), our local chefs are serving up some legit vegan burgers.
Several of our favorite burgers in the city can be found here, including my favorite, the potato burger! Everything on the menu here is made from high-quality, unprocessed ingredients and the food is consistently good every time.
Your choice of the eggplant, portobello, potato, or broccoli burger, all await you.
Now with 5 Locations! Let’s be honest. Everything at Fresh is awesome.
Why would their burgers be any different?
They aren’t! They are also awesome.
Did you know that the term Banquet Burger is a Canadianism, and maybe even a Toronto-ism? If you grew up in Ontario, chances are you have seen hamburgers with bacon & cheese referred to as Banquet Burgers on menus and in your school cafeteria your whole life, and assumed that it was a universal thing, but it’s actually a local phenomenon! 🍔 🍔 🍔 Our version features grilled tempeh bacon, and our house made vegan cheese sauce 🤗 📷: @everydayeats.gta
Bloomer’s are located near Ossington station and have a very hearty seitan, black bean, and mushroom burger.
I believe they also have the best fries out of this list, y’know, the really skinny, crispy ones, that are super crunchy and perfect with ketchup.
The menu from Toronto’s ubiquitous vegan fast-food joint Doomie’s can now be found within the Vegandale Brewery and yes, you can still order the Vegan Big Mac!
Wow, that’s a lot of burgers.
Did we miss YOUR favorite burger?
