31 Jul Madras Masala
Madras Masala is a South Indian restaurant at the South East corner of Christie Pits park. Sometimes while in the park the aroma from their kitchen starts wafting through the air and you have to make a decision. We know they do this on purpose, and we love them for it.
While the menu at Madras Masala is not entirely plant-based they do have some great options, and if you ask them, they’ll put together a nice vegan platter, which will run you 12.50$.
This particular plate consisted of Veg Chettinad, Channa Masala, Aloo Mutter, White Rice and Chapati Bread.
For 12.50$ it’s really a steal, but you can also order all these dishes on their own for around 9.99$.
I wasn’t terribly fond of the Veg Chettinad but that’s only because it wasn’t salty enough for my taste and it had a bit too much cinnamon. Everything else was delicious and satisfying and I walked out feeling quite pleased.
Since the menu caters to most dietary choices, omnivores and herbivores can cohabitate at this location, and if you’re dating someone who isn’t completely plant-based you could both come here and be happy. Until of course, the topic of how you’re going to raise your children comes up.
You can check out their full menu here.
See you at the next meal!
